These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of WealthAssist, operated by WealthAssist (“we,” “our,” or “us”) at wealthassist.app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

WealthAssist is a financial planning tool that helps users model portfolio growth, project retirement timelines, compare savings scenarios, and track net worth over time. WealthAssist is a planning and projection tool — it does not provide personalized financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

2. Not Financial Advice

The projections and calculations provided by WealthAssist are for informational and educational purposes only. They are based on assumptions you provide and mathematical models — they are not guarantees of future results. Past market performance does not guarantee future returns. Always consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment or retirement decisions.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use WealthAssist. By using the service, you confirm you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@wealthassist.app if you suspect unauthorized access. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

• WealthAssist offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription billed monthly or annually.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
• All payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use WealthAssist for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from WealthAssist
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Resell or sublicense access to WealthAssist without written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers

7. Your Data

You retain ownership of the financial data you enter into WealthAssist. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the service to you. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.

8. Intellectual Property

WealthAssist and its content — including the interface, projection models, copy, and branding — are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of WealthAssist without written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

WealthAssist is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that projection results will be accurate or complete. Use the service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WealthAssist and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including financial losses — arising from your use of or reliance on the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@wealthassist.app. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of WealthAssist after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
