WealthAssist (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates wealthassist.app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using WealthAssist, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: Your email address and, if provided, your name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
  • Financial planning data: The numbers and assumptions you enter into WealthAssist — portfolio balances, contribution amounts, return rates, retirement targets, home equity details, and scenario names. This data is stored to power the projection and scenario features.
  • Payment information: Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details. Stripe may share your subscription status and billing history with us.
  • Usage data: Standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is used for debugging and improving the service.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the WealthAssist service
  • To authenticate your identity and maintain your account
  • To save and retrieve your financial scenarios
  • To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
  • To respond to support requests sent to hello@wealthassist.app
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)

We do not sell your personal information or financial data to third parties. We do not use your financial data for advertising purposes.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a Supabase-managed PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS infrastructure. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Database access is restricted by row-level security policies — you can only access your own scenarios and account data. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate WealthAssist:

  • Supabase — authentication and database (supabase.com)
  • Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com)
  • Vercel — hosting and deployment (vercel.com)
  • Google — optional OAuth sign-in (accounts.google.com)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Cookies

WealthAssist uses cookies and browser storage for authentication session management. Specifically, Supabase Auth stores a session token in your browser to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

Data Retention

We retain your account data and scenarios as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@wealthassist.app.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export your scenario data

Children's Privacy

WealthAssist is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of WealthAssist after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
